About Jules

Hello! My name is Jules. I am a Colorado native, and I hold a degree in English for Secondary Education from Grand Canyon University. I teach 7th and 8th Grade Language Arts, and it's a job that truly fills my cup. During my down time, however, I write! Writing has been a love of mine since I was in the second grade. Expressing myself wasn't something I was always the best at doing, so writing was where I found my voice. 

I wrote various novels throughout my middle and high school years, but didn't get serious about novel writing until I graduated college. After experiencing some personal hardships, I felt inspired to write the lessons I'd learned in the form of a novel, and Back Dirt was born. 

When it comes to writing, my aim is to write novels of substance. I want to write stories that make people think and, hopefully, make people act. Life has so many complexities to it, and I don't profess to be an expert on how to handle the various bumps and curves it provides--but if I can at least share what life has taught me, I'm hopeful it might be helpful to someone else as well.
